First let me say that this issue is going to be humorous but usefull
during a crisis situation. This issue will teach you how to make
personal hygene products in the privacy of your own home. My next "How-
to" issues will be "Home made C-4 just like mom used to make" and "Make
your own RPG" [we ain't talking Dungeons and Dragons].
Soap: 3-4 cups of animal fat
1 five pound size can
Filter cloth
Heating device
Water
Lye
2 Metal bowls
Rose oil
1: Heat the fat on the kitchen stove 'till it liquifies.
2: Pour it through the filter cloth into the can. Discard remaing fat.
Repeat step 2 until the can is full.
3: Put 4 cups of water into the bowl, add 10 ounces of powdered lye.
Stir slowly. Avoid hand and eye contact.
4: Heat the solution to 100 degrees fahrenheit. And remove from heat.
5: Add the can 'o fat to a second bowl. Heat to 130 fahrenheit.
6: Add the melted fat to the lye solution. Stop pouring when it
reaches the consistency of pancake syrup.
7: Add a few drops of the rose oil to it.
8: Pour it into a bar mold.
9: Let it cure for 1 week.
Deodorant: 16 ounce pump spray bottle
Isopropyl Alcohol
Alum
Zinc Oxide
1: Pour 1 cup water in bottle.
2: Add 1/4 cup of alcohol to bottle.
3: Stir in 1/2 tablespoon of zinc oxide.
Toothpaste: 1 Baby food jar
Salt
Baking Soda
Glycerin
1: Put 1/4 cup of salt in bottle.
2: Add 1/4 cup of baking soda.
3: Shake well, with cap on.
4: Add (one at a time) six teaspoons of glycerin.
5: Add water 'till it turns to paste.
Hand Lotion: Squeeze Bottle
Gelatin
Glycerin
Rose Oil
1: Dissolve 2 teaspoons of gelatin in 1 cup hot water.
2: Let it cool.
3: Add 2 tablespoons 'o glycerin.
4: Mix in some rose oil for fragrance.
