When? - Saturday, April 6th 2002 - 10:00am PST

.: Introduction :.
Welcome to Telco Inside's FIRST IRC lecture. Iam hoping to have one
of these conducted once a month if possible. As for me; this will be
one of two lectures that I'll be conducting this year.

90% of the information that will be mentioned during this 1 hour
lecture is public domain as far as I know. I have been planning this
discussion for one week today and Iam hoping to get a good turn-out.

.: Agenda :.
10:00 - 10:10 + The basics of ESS in general (history, what is ESS?,
                Acronyms, etc)

10:10 - 10:15 + Hardware aspects of today's 5ESS's. I wont be going in
depth because I dont have an ESS switch to show you what
goes where, and what it does.

10:15 - 10:25 + Channel will be open for questions, and discussions.

10:25 - 10:30 + Overview of the DMERT Operating system, most phreakers
will know this as "AT&T Unix".

10:30 - 10:45 + Introduction to the "Test Channel" and Recent Change/Verify.

10:45 - 11:00 + Channel will once again be open for questions and discussions.

11:00 - 11:05 + Explaination of basic SS7 characteristics.

11:05 - 11:15 + My personal theories (some proven) of present and
                future SS7 vulnerabilies.

Personal note: This lecture is about 1 hour; so I wont be able get down
and nit-pick at every little detail. Why only one hour? Because I know how
some of you get in class ... it gets boring! 1 hour is about the longest
I've ever kept my attention on one thing so Iam assuming that most of you
are practically the same.
