Subject: The Starr Indictments: the Media Wrong Again

The Starr Indictments: the Media Wrong Again

                        by J. Orlin Grabbe

In the end even the *Wall Street Journal* and *Investor's
Business Daily* joined the chorus of voices--screeching Harpies like
*The New York Times*, *The Los Angeles Times*, *The Washington Post*,
*The Electronic Telegraph*, *The New Yorker*, *Reuters News Service*,
and the *Associated Press*--in saying there would be no more indictments
announced by the Special Prosecutor Kenneth Starr before the November
election.

They were counting on Starr to keep the voters in ignorance.
After all, that is itself the basic function of the press in recent times.

And the television and cable media--CNN, Headline News, CBS, ABC,
NBC--were even worse, hardly acknowledging Whitewater, Filegate, Travelgate,
and Toe-suckgate, much less the fairly obvious fact that Clinton's lead in
the polls could never prevent his going to jail.

Well, the media was wrong and I was right. I was right about the
indictments, just as I am right about the resignation of Clinton, about the
2045 FBI files in the WHODB, about the circumstances surrounding the downing
of TWA Flight 800, and about the influence of the Cali cartel in American
political life.

Moreover, with the coming prosecution of Hillary Rodham Clinton, my
statement that she is a "cold-blooded, murderous bitch" will be proven in
court. I was doing what the media is apparently incapable of doing: Making
a simple, straight-forward objective statement of fact. And it has nothing
to do with partisan politics. It has to do with opening one's eyes and
actually doing some research.

So here is my suggestion to the media: Take your self-important
editors, your pompous commentators, your airhead TV news readers--along
with your ignorant Usenet lackeys and your "conspiracy theories on the
Internet" screed--and stick them all up your collective asses. You know,
where your heads have been all along.
